This wallpaper was created using the silkscreen technique, with each pattern printed individually. To enhance its surface, I applied gold leaf and integrated ink made from carefully treated human excrement.
The project draws inspiration from the Rococo style, an 18th-century artistic movement renowned for its ornamental richness, fluid curves, and celebration of beauty. My work explores how Rococo aesthetics historically symbolized luxury and privilege within aristocratic societies by combining this refined visual language with unconventional materials to create a dialogue that challenges traditional notions of beauty, value, and status.
