For about 5 minutes accompanied by sound, I licked a cactus. The work shows a dialogue between the tongue’s softness and the cactus’s hurtful thorns.
We should confront things without fear. Loving at all costs could be a strategy for living with all those external antagonisms that cause us so much pain, sadness, and disappointment. It is necessary to resist them if we want to live with ourselves.
This piece is the result of decisions I've made as a way of life; it illustrates my attitude, and I think of it as a reminder to face hurtful situations with my best intentions.
