Drawing on the power of language, I wrote a prayer of forgiveness with my own blood—a material that embodies my family lineage and socio-cultural origins. I then illuminated the text using a light bulb painted with the same substance, allowing the words to emerge through that charged medium.

This prayer becomes a gesture of release, a way of cleansing the past in order to find peace within ourselves. Forgiveness offers a path to confront and free ourselves from the inheritances we no longer wish to carry.

Prayer of Forgiveness

lf there is something or someone who has hurt me in the past, present or future, consciously or unconsciously, I forgive that person and release him/her.
lf I’ve hurt something or someone in the past, present or future, consciously or unconsciously, I ask him/her to forgive me and release me.
lf I’ve hurt myself in the past, present or future, consciously or unconsciously, I forgive myself and release me, for my sake and for the greater good.
